Today is World Humanitarian Day

Each year on August 19th we mark World Humanitarian Day. It is a day to honour aid workers and humanitarian efforts.  Today, we thought we’d remind you of some of our humanitarian work and hopefully inspire you to embrace the message of the day – people helping people.

Our work:
Learn about how CARE responds to emergencies.

Our people:
Read about two CARE Canada humanitarian workers – Jessie Thomson and Robyn Baron.

Watch this video and get to know our colleagues at CARE Kenya.

How you can help:
We can’t all be humanitarian superheroes, but we can all make a difference. One of the easiest ways to have an impact is by making a donation. Learn about a current emergency response in the Sahel region of West Africa and how you can support it.
