Are you a fan of Canadian rock superstars Rush? Are you looking for a great way to support CARE?

If you answered “yes,” we have a great event for you this weekend.

From October 12 to 14, the annual RushCon event will be held in Toronto. This exciting, three-day extravaganza will celebrate Canadian powerhouse rock band Rush, who was recently nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.RushCon is the largest North American gathering of fans celebrating the music of Rush. Not only that, RushCon is organized and run 100 per cent by women!

The weekend will feature thousands of Rush fans who will be gathering in Toronto in a series of for-the-fans, by-the-fans events that includes concerts, games and a charity auction featuring rare and collectible band memorabilia.

Best of all

Best of all, all proceeds from this year’s charity auction, which is known for raising upwards of $20,000, will be graciously donated to CARE Canada.

“After reading CARE’s mission and vision, we were moved by what they do. More than just giving people food and other goods, CARE works toward helping people gain stable ground under their feet,” says Jillian Maryonovich, creative director at RushCon. “With compassion, love and unending generosity, CARE does great work for the people they serve. RushCon is honored to work with such a wonderful charity!”

At CARE, we couldn’t be more excited.

“CARE is thrilled to be partnering with such an amazing Canadian event,” says Laura Nicol, CARE Canada’s acting manager of ambassador relations and events. “We can’t wait to watch how the weekend unfolds.”

And that’s not all.

This weekend, six “somewhat crazy” Rush fans from across the world are making their way straight to the top of the CN Tower. These hardcore fans have come from as far as Scotland and Australia to take part in RushCon and test their fear factors in the CN Tower Edgewalk, while raising money for CARE Canada.

“CARE Canada rings true to what Rush stands for,” explained this group of fans who call themselves the Edge Walk Angels. To learn more or donate, visit their fundraising page.
